Pressure Regulating Skid
A natural gas pressure regulating skid is an integrated gas pressure regulating device whose core function is to achieve the stability and safety of natural gas transmission and distribution through multi-stage pressure control.
1. Main Components and Structure
Basic framework
It adopts a rectangular skid design, integrating parallel-arranged intake manifolds, regulating manifolds, and exhaust manifolds to form a modular structure.
Core functional components
The pressure regulating system includes a working pressure regulating valve (main regulating valve), a monitoring pressure regulating valve (standby regulating valve), and a safety shut-off valve. The three operate independently to form a three-level protection system.
Filtration device: Multi-layer filter screens intercept impurities and protect downstream equipment.
Metering unit: Parallel metering tubes are equipped with flow meters, pressure gauges and control valves to achieve flow monitoring.
Safety devices include safety vent valves, emergency venting devices, and bypass lines to handle overpressure or malfunctions.
Assistance system
The temperature compensation module corrects for the effects of temperature and pressure, and the monitoring system transmits data such as pressure and flow rate to the remote center in real time.
2. Working principle
Pressure regulation process
High-pressure natural gas enters through the inlet and is then adjusted by the working pressure regulating valve through valve core opening to reduce the pressure to the set value.
If the main valve fails, the monitoring pressure regulating valve automatically takes over; if the abnormality persists, the safety shut-off valve immediately shuts off the gas supply.
Security Mechanism
In case of overpressure, the safety vent valve releases pressure; in extreme situations, the emergency venting device directly vents air.
The bypass pipeline ensures continuous gas supply during main pipeline maintenance.
Dynamic balance
The pressure regulating valve dynamically adjusts the outlet pressure through feedback signals to offset the effects of inlet pressure fluctuations.
3. Application Scenarios
Widely used in residential communities, industrial gas supply, and emergency gas sources, adaptable to inlet pressure ranges of 0.02~6.4MPa. Its modular design facilitates transportation and installation, and it enables intelligent management through remote monitoring.
